[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시 농업기술센터는 지역특화 벼 품종의 재배 확대와 안정적인 계약재배 추진을 위해 ‘황금예찬’ 계약재배 사전 수요조사를 실시한다고 2일 밝혔다. 이번 조사는 ‘2026년 벼 수요자 참여 개발품종 조기확산 시범사업’의 일환으로 진행된다.  

조사 기간은 2월 13일까지이며, 부산 강서구에서 벼를 재배하는 농업인이 대상이다. 조사 결과는 향후 계약재배 물량 조정과 참여 농가 선정 등에 활용될 예정이다.  

‘황금예찬’은 부산 지역의 재배 여건에 적합한 지역특화 벼 품종으로, 품질과 맛이 우수해 안정적인 판로 확보가 기대된다. 시 농업기술센터는 이번 사업을 통해 재배 면적을 확대하고 지역 쌀 브랜드 경쟁력을 높일 계획이다.  

지난해 황금예찬 계약재배에는 72개 농가가 참여해 93헥타르(ha)에서 603톤을 생산했으며, 전량 학교급식용으로 납품됐다.  

참여를 희망하는 농가는 강서구 행정복지센터나 농업기술센터 동부·서부지소에 수요조사서를 제출하면 된다. 참여 농가는 가락농협(RPC)과 계약을 체결하고, 농업기술센터의 농산물우수관리(GAP) 교육과 토양검정을 거쳐 GAP 인증을 취득해야 한다.  

또한 계약재배 농가에는 황금예찬 모판, 비료 등 농자재와 농작물재해보험 등이 지원되며, 세부 내용은 계약 체결 시 확정된다.  

유미복 농업기술센터장은 “지난해 성과를 바탕으로 올해는 보다 체계적인 수요조사를 통해 사업의 안정성을 높이고 효율적으로 추진하겠다”며 “지역 농가의 소득 안정과 공공급식 연계로 지역 쌀 소비 확대에 기여하겠다”고 말했다.  

[Here is anl English version of the article]Busan Conducts Demand Survey for “Hwanggeumyechan” Rice Contract Farming

BUSAN – The Busan Agricultural Technology Center announced it is conducting a preliminary demand survey for “Hwanggeumyechan” contract farming as part of its 2026 Early Diffusion Pilot Project for regionally developed rice varieties.  

The survey runs through Feb. 13 and targets rice farmers cultivating farmland in Gangseo District. Results will be used as baseline data for adjusting contract volumes and selecting participating farms.  

“Hwanggeumyechan” is a high-quality, locally developed rice variety well suited to Busan’s cultivation conditions. It is known for its excellent taste and quality and is expected to secure a stable market. The center aims to expand its cultivation area and enhance the competitiveness of local rice brands through this project.  

In 2025, 72 farms joined the Hwanggeumyechan contract program, cultivating 93 hectares and producing 603 tons of rice, all of which were supplied for school meals.  

Farmers wishing to take part can submit an application form to their local administrative welfare center in Gangseo District or to one of the city’s agricultural technology sub-centers. Selected farmers will sign official contracts with Garak Agricultural Cooperative and are required to complete Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) training and soil testing to obtain GAP certification, ensuring the safety and quality of rice used for public meals.  

Participants will also receive support such as seedling trays, fertilizers, and crop insurance. Details will be confirmed at the time of contract signing.  

Yoo Mi-bok, head of the Busan Agricultural Technology Center, said the city plans to strengthen the project’s stability and efficiency through a more systematic demand survey this year, helping local farmers stabilize income and increase consumption of locally produced rice in public meal programs.
