[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 12일 오후 2시 에이펙(APEC)나루공원 인근 보행교 상부에서 ‘수영강 휴먼브리지 조성사업’ 준공식을 열었다.  

박형준 부산시장을 비롯해 시의원, 김성수 해운대구청장, 강성태 수영구청장, 공사 관계자와 시민 등 250여 명이 참석한 가운데 경과보고와 기념행사가 진행됐다.  

수영강 휴먼브리지는 부산시가 2020년부터 추진한 대표적인 보행자 중심 15분 도시 프로젝트로, 단절돼 있던 수영강 양안을 연결해 시민의 이동 편의성을 높이고 수변 문화·관광 공간을 확충하기 위해 조성됐다.  

이번 개통으로 수영구 주거지역과 해운대구 에이펙나루공원, 영화의전당이 하나의 생활권으로 이어졌다. 시민들은 걸어서 주요 관광 명소와 수변공간을 이용할 수 있고, 광안리~수영강~영화의전당~해운대를 잇는 새로운 도보 관광 동선도 형성됐다.

시는 휴먼브리지 전 구간을 부산시 제1호 ‘보행자전용길’로 지정할 방침이다. 「보행안전 및 편의증진에 관한 법률」에 따라 차량, 자전거, 개인형 이동장치의 통행을 제한해 보행자와 교통약자가 안심할 수 있는 안전한 환경을 조성한다는 계획이다.  

박형준 시장은 “수영강 휴먼브리지는 부산시의 15분 도시 철학을 가장 잘 보여주는 상징적인 사례”라며 “시민이 걷고 이웃과 어울리는 일상이 부산의 현재이자 미래가 되도록, 다시 태어나도 살고 싶은 도시를 만들겠다”고 말했다.

The city of Busan held a completion ceremony Thursday afternoon for the Suyeong River Human Bridge project near APEC Naru Park.  

About 250 people, including Mayor Park Heong-joon, city council members, Haeundae District Mayor Kim Sung-soo, Suyeong District Mayor Kang Sung-tae, city officials, and residents attended the event, which featured a progress report and commemorative program.  

Launched in 2020, the Human Bridge is one of Busan’s key “15-minute city” initiatives designed to reconnect both sides of the Suyeong River, improve pedestrian access, and expand waterfront cultural and tourism spaces.  

The new pedestrian bridge links Suyeong’s residential areas with APEC Naru Park and the Busan Cinema Center, creating a unified living zone. It also forms a continuous walking route connecting Gwangalli Beach, the Suyeong River, the Cinema Center, and Haeundae, offering both a scenic and leisurely walking experience.  

Busan plans to designate the entire bridge as the city’s first pedestrian-only pathway under the *Act on the Promotion of Pedestrian Safety and Convenience*, banning vehicles, bicycles, and personal mobility devices to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for pedestrians and those with limited mobility.  

“The Suyeong River Human Bridge is a symbolic example of our ‘15-minute city’ philosophy,” Mayor Park said. “We’re building a Busan where walking, meeting neighbors, and sharing daily warmth define a city people will always want to live in—even if they were born again.”
