[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 2일 오전 강서구 희망공원에서 ‘국지도 58호선 가덕대교~송정나들목(IC) 고가도로 건설사업’ 기공식을 열고 본격적인 공사에 들어갔다고 밝혔다.  

이날 행사에는 박형준 부산시장과 김도읍 국회의원, 이종환 시의회 부의장, 강서구청장, 시·구의원, 지역주민 등 250여 명이 참석해 착공을 축하했다.  

이번 사업은 강서구 송정동 가덕대교에서 송정IC까지 2.72㎞ 구간에 왕복 4차로, 폭 19m 규모의 고가도로를 신설하는 공사다. 총사업비 약 1,800억 원이 투입되며, 2024년 11월 실시설계를 마치고 2030년 말 준공을 목표로 추진된다. 주요 공정에는 교량 6개소, 접속도로, 배수 및 방음시설 등이 포함된다.  

부산시는 가덕도신공항 개항(2030년 예정)에 따른 교통 수요 급증에 대비하고, 녹산국가산업단지와 서부산권 일대의 교통 정체를 해소하기 위해 2021년부터 이 사업을 추진해왔다. 같은 해 8월 기획재정부 예비타당성조사를 통과해 사업 타당성을 확보했고, 9월 국토교통부의 ‘제5차 국도·국지도 건설계획’에 반영됐다.

시는 이번 고가도로가 가덕도신공항과 부산항 신항을 잇는 핵심 접근 축으로 기능하면서, 물류와 여객 이동 효율을 개선하고 출퇴근 시간대 상습 정체 구간 해소에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다. 또한 대저대교, 엄궁대교, 장낙대교 등 서부산권 주요 교량·도로 사업과 연계해 부산 전역을 하나의 순환형 교통망으로 구축할 계획이다.  

박형준 시장은 “국지도 58호선 가덕대교~송정IC 고가도로는 가덕도신공항과 서부산권의 교통을 연결하는 전략적 기반시설”이라며 “시민들이 체감할 수 있는 교통환경 개선과 지역 균형발전에 기여할 수 있도록 차질 없이 추진하겠다”고 밝혔다.

The city of Busan held a groundbreaking ceremony Monday morning at Heemang Park in Gangseo District for the construction of an elevated road connecting Gadeok Bridge and Songjeong Interchange (IC) along National Route 58.

Mayor Park Heong-joon, Rep. Kim Do-eup, Busan City Council Vice Chair Lee Jong-hwan, the Gangseo District chief, local council members, and some 250 residents attended the event to mark the start of construction.  

The project will build a 2.72-kilometer elevated roadway between Gadeok Bridge and Songjeong IC in Gangseo District. The four-lane road, 19 meters wide, will be constructed at a cost of approximately 180 billion won and is scheduled for completion by the end of 2030. The works include six bridge sections, connecting roads, drainage systems, and noise barriers.  

The city began promoting the project in 2021 to prepare for increased traffic demand expected with the opening of Gadeok New Airport and to ease chronic congestion across the western Busan area, including the Noksan National Industrial Complex. The project passed a preliminary feasibility study by the Ministry of Economy and Finance in August 2021 and was subsequently included in the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s Fifth National and Local Road Construction Plan that September.  

Once completed, the elevated road is expected to serve as a key transport corridor linking Gadeok New Airport and Busan New Port, improving logistics and passenger flow while easing rush-hour congestion. The city also plans to connect the project with other major western Busan infrastructure developments—such as the Daejeo, Eomgung, and Jangnak bridges—to establish a fully integrated urban road network.  

Mayor Park said, “The Gadeok Bridge–Songjeong IC project will form a vital transport link between Gadeok New Airport and western Busan. It will significantly improve traffic conditions for citizens and lay the groundwork for balanced development as Busan advances toward becoming a global hub city.”
