[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 외국인 관광객 300만 명 시대를 연 성과를 바탕으로, 향후 500만 명 시대를 준비하기 위한 부산관광 기록 관리 플랫폼 ‘부산관광 디지털 아카이브’를 구축했다고 밝혔다.  

이번 사업은 늘어나는 관광 콘텐츠 수요에 대응하고, 정책 수립과 홍보, 콘텐츠 제작 등 관광 행정 전반에 활용할 수 있는 관광 기록자산의 통합 관리 체계를 마련하기 위해 추진됐다.  

‘부산관광 디지털 아카이브’는 부산의 다양한 관광 기록과 자료를 한데 모은 디지털 기록관으로, 시를 비롯한 여러 공공기관이 보유한 사진, 영상, 문서 등 다양한 형태의 자료를 통합적으로 관리한다. 또한 공공누리 저작물 자유이용 허락표시 제도를 통해 누구나 자유롭게 자료를 열람·활용할 수 있도록 개방성을 높였다.  

시는 이번 구축 사업을 통해 관광자원, 축제·행사, 홍보 콘텐츠 등 부산 관광 전반의 기록 1만7천여 건을 디지털화했다. 

사진과 영상뿐 아니라 음성, 가상현실(VR) 등 다양한 형태의 디지털 콘텐츠도 함께 제작해 관광객, 정책 담당자, 콘텐츠 제작자 등 다양한 이용자가 목적에 맞게 활용할 수 있는 입체적 데이터베이스를 마련했다.  

특히 영문 콘텐츠를 함께 제공해 외국인 관광객의 접근성과 활용도를 강화했으며, 시민과 관광 종사자 누구나 ‘부산관광 디지털 아카이브’ 누리집(visitbusan.net/archive)을 통해 자료를 자유롭게 열람할 수 있다.  

나윤빈 시 관광마이스국장은 “‘부산관광 디지털 아카이브’는 부산 관광의 현재를 기록하고 미래를 설계하는 중요한 자산”이라며, “외국인 관광객 500만 명 시대를 준비하는 핵심 관광 인프라로서 지속적으로 콘텐츠를 확충해 나가겠다”고 말했다.  

시는 향후 해당 아카이브를 신규 관광사업 기획과 정책 수립의 기초 자료로 폭넓게 활용할 계획이다.

Busan City announced the completion of the 'Busan Tourism Digital Archive,' a systematic platform to record, preserve, and utilize Busan tourism resources ahead of the 5 million foreign tourist milestone, building on last year's achievement of surpassing 3 million visitors.

The project addresses growing content demands from rising tourist numbers and establishes an integrated management system for tourism records usable across policy-making, promotion, and content creation in tourism administration.

The digital archive consolidates tourism records from the city, districts, counties, and Busan Tourism Organization, managing over 17,000 items—including photos, videos, documents, audio, and VR content—categorized by type and theme under the Public Domain Certification system for free public use.

English-language content enhances accessibility for foreign visitors, with all materials searchable and viewable on the site (visitbusan.net/archive).

Na Yoon-bin, head of the Tourism MICE Bureau, called it "a vital asset recording Busan's tourism present and designing its future," pledging ongoing updates to support the 5 million visitor goal.
