[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시 클래식부산이 올해 ‘2026년 부산콘서트홀 기획공연 라인업’을 발표했다. 지난해 개관 이후 12만 명이 다녀간 부산콘서트홀은 올해도 국내외 정상급 연주자들이 참여하는 다채로운 공연을 선보인다.  

 

부산콘서트홀 개관 1주년을 기념하는 ‘페스티벌’은 7월 3일부터 8일까지 열린다. 정명훈 예술감독이 지휘하는 아시아필하모닉오케스트라(APO)가 상주하며 말러 교향곡 5번, 베토벤 교향곡 9번 ‘합창’, 드보르작 교향곡 9번 ‘신세계로부터’를 연주한다.  

 

정 감독은 ‘마에스트로의 방’ 프로그램을 통해 지역 음악 전공 학생들과 공개 리허설을 진행하며 클래식 교육의 장도 마련한다.  

 

세계 정상급 무대 ‘월드 스타 시리즈’  

‘월드 스타 시리즈’는 세계적인 연주자들이 잇따라 부산을 찾는다.  

3월 14일 바이올리니스트 양인모와 모차르테움 오케스트라가 포문을 열고, 4월 10일에는 첼리스트 양성원의 트리오 오원이 무대에 선다. 5월 9일 피아니스트 임윤찬, 7월 15일 피아니스트 조성진과 베를린 챔버 오케스트라가 연이어 공연한다.  

 

9월에는 루돌프 부흐빈더가 지휘하는 루체른 페스티벌 스트링스(19일)와 프랑스 메츠 국립 오케스트라의 한불수교 140주년 기념 공연(20일)이 이어진다.  

 

실내악과 듀오 공연  

‘챔버앤듀오 시리즈’는 세계 무대에서 활약 중인 아티스트들의 실내악 무대로 꾸며진다.  오는 5월 29일 클라라 주미 강과 김선욱 듀오 리사이틀, 8월 20일 김유빈과 리차드 이가 듀오 공연을 선보인다.

오페라 시리즈 및 야외공연  

‘오페라 시리즈’로 7월 11일부터 북항 랜드마크 부지에서 야외오페라 ‘카르멘’이 전석 무료로 공연된다. 이어 10월 10일부터는 베르디의 ‘오텔로’가 콘서트 오페라 형식으로 무대에 올라, 2027년 개관을 앞둔 부산오페라하우스에 대한 기대감을 높인다.  

 

시민 참여형 공연과 교육 프로그램  

클래식 입문자를 위한 ‘천원의 음악회’가 2월 22일 금난새 지휘로 열리며, 해설이 있는 ‘2026 오페라 갈라 콘서트’(3월 19일)와 ‘춤추는 지휘자 백윤학의 클래식 콘서트’(6월 27일)도 진행된다. 지난해 약 1만 명이 참여한 대표 교육형 프로그램 ‘헬로 시리즈’는 올해도 클래식, 오페라, 오르간, 발레 등 다양한 장르를 선보인다.  

 

예매 일정 및 기대 효과  

상반기 공연인 양인모&모차르테움 오케스트라(3월 14일), 오페라 갈라 콘서트(3월 19일), 트리오 오원(4월 10일), 클라라 주미 강&김선욱 듀오(5월 29일)는 클래식부산 홈페이지(classicbusan.busan.go.kr)에서 예매 가능하다. 유료회원은 2월 11일, 일반회원은 2월 12일부터 예매가 시작된다.  

 

 

박민정 클래식부산 대표는 “올해는 개관 1주년을 맞아 정명훈 예술감독과 APO의 페스티벌, 세계 정상급 연주자들의 무대, 오페라와 교육 프로그램을 모두 아우르는 시즌을 준비했다”며 “부산콘서트홀이 도시 문화 역량을 선도하는 플랫폼으로 자리 잡길 기대한다”고 말했다.

Busan Concert Hall, the city’s first dedicated classical music venue, has announced its 2026 season lineup, marking the hall’s first full year since opening last June. More than 120,000 people have visited the venue so far, and this year’s program promises an even richer schedule featuring world-renowned conductors and soloists.  

 

 First Anniversary Festival  

The highlight of the season will be the “Busan Concert Hall 1st Anniversary Festival,” running from July 3 to 8. Artistic Director Chung Myung-whun will lead the Asia Philharmonic Orchestra (APO) in residence during the weeklong celebration. The festival will feature three major symphonic masterpieces—Mahler’s Symphony No. 5, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 “Choral,” and Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 “From the New World.”  

 

Chung will also host an open rehearsal program, “The Maestro’s Room,” offering local music students an opportunity to learn directly from one of Asia’s most respected conductors.  

 

Global Talent Takes the Stage  

The “World Star Series” brings together leading classical artists from Korea and abroad. The season begins on March 14 with violinist Yang In-mo performing with the Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, followed by cellist Yang Sung-won’s Trio Owon recital on April 10.  

 

Pianist Lim Yun-chan, the youngest-ever winner of the Van Cliburn Competition, will present a solo recital on May 9, while fellow pianist Cho Seong-jin returns to Busan on July 15 with the Berlin Chamber Orchestra after a widely acclaimed performance last year. In September, the Lucerne Festival Strings led by Rudolf Buchbinder (Sept. 19) and France’s Orchestre National de Metz (Sept. 20) will round out the international lineup.  

 

Chamber and Opera Highlights  

Busan audiences can also look forward to intimate chamber performances in the “Chamber & Duo Series,” including a joint recital by violinist Clara-Jumi Kang and pianist Kim Sun-wook on May 29, and a flute-harpsichord duo featuring Kim Yu-bin and Richard Egarr on August 20.  

 

Opera takes center stage in July with a free open-air production of *Carmen* on the North Port landmark site, followed in October by Verdi’s *Otello* in concert format—building anticipation ahead of the 2027 opening of the new Busan Opera House.  

 

Accessible Programs for New Audiences  

Efforts to widen classical music’s reach also continue. The “1,000-Won Concert,” led by maestro Gum Nanse on February 22, offers an affordable introduction to orchestral music. Commentary-led concerts such as the “2026 Opera Gala Concert” (March 19) and “Dancing Maestro Baek Yun-hak’s Classical Concert” (June 27) aim to engage broader audiences.  

 

Busan’s signature educational series, “Hello Series,” will also return with programs covering classical repertoire, opera, organ, and ballet—following last season’s success that drew over 10,000 attendees.  

 

Ticketing and Outlook  

Tickets for the first half of the season—including the Yang In-mo & Mozarteum Orchestra concert, the Opera Gala, Trio Owon recital, and Kang–Kim duo recital—are available through Classic Busan’s official website (classicbusan.busan.go.kr). Priority sales for paid members begin February 11, with general ticketing starting February 12.  

 

Park Min-jung, CEO of Classic Busan, said the anniversary season would mark an important milestone for the city’s cultural identity.  

“This year’s program brings together Maestro Chung and the APO, world-class soloists, operas, and educational events,” she said. “We hope Busan Concert Hall will continue to grow as a cultural platform that drives the city’s artistic vitality and global presence.”
