[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시가 20주년 맞아 역대 최대 규모 불꽃쇼와 강화된 안전대책으로 시민과 관광객을 맞이한다  

 

시는 외국인 관광객 300만 시대를 맞아 오는 15일 광안리해수욕장, 이기대, 동백섬 일원에서 제20회 부산불꽃축제를 연다.  

 

이번 축제는 스무 번째 해를 기념해 역대 최대 규모의 불꽃 연출과 확장된 해상 포인트, 강화된 안전관리 시스템으로 세계 관광도시로의 도약을 알릴 예정이다.  

 

20주년 특화 연출과 조명 조화  

2005년 APEC 정상회의 기념행사로 시작된 부산불꽃축제는 올해 20주년을 맞아 부산 관광의 미래 비전을 담는다.  

 

광안대교 앵커리지 조명이 새단장돼 해상 불꽃과 한층 생생한 컬러로 어우러지고, 바지선 또한 8대에서 13대로 확대돼 축제 역사상 최대 규모의 화약이 투입된다.  

 

올해 불꽃쇼는 ▲20주년 기념 불꽃 ▲해외초청불꽃 ▲부산멀티불꽃 등 3부로 구성되며, 문자 불꽃과 캐치볼 하모니 불꽃 등 새로운 형태의 퍼포먼스도 선보인다.  

 

프로그램 구성과 주요 볼거리  

사전행사 ‘불꽃 스트릿’(오후 2시~6시)을 시작으로 ‘불꽃 프롤로그’, ‘개막 세리머니’, 본행사 3부, ‘커튼콜 불꽃’ 순으로 진행된다.  

 

올해는 광안대교 트러스에 시민 사연을 송출하고, G-DRAGON의 음악과 인공지능(AI) 음원을 결합한 1부 오프닝이 눈길을 끈다.  

 

2부에서는 일본 히비키야사의 초청 불꽃이, 3부에서는 한화가 ‘스무 번의 가을’을 주제로 20분간 다채로운 불꽃을 선보인다.  

 

외국인 관람 확대와 관광 붐 조성  

유료좌석은 약 1만4천 석으로, 외국인 관광객 좌석은 지난해보다 늘어난 5천 석 규모다. 시는 다국어 안내와 현장 정보 지원을 강화해 해외 방문객의 접근성과 편의성을 높인다.  

 

7천 명 투입한 안전 총력 대응  

부산시는 공무원·경찰·소방 등 7천여 명을 현장 배치해 100만 관람객의 안전을 확보할 계획이다. 42곳을 중점관리구역으로 지정해 CCTV, LED 혼잡 알림 차량, 고공 관측차량으로 상황을 실시간 통제하고, 비상통로 4곳과 구급차 31대, 응급의료 부스 7곳을 운영한다.  

 

광안대교 상층부(남구 방향)는 축제 당일 오후 3시 30분, 하층부(해운대 방향)는 오후 6시 30분부터 전면 통제된다.  

 

시민참여 캠페인과 질서유지  

시는 숙박·음식업소를 대상으로 가격표시·위생 점검을 강화하고, ‘1399 신고센터’를 운영해 위반사항을 즉시 조치한다.

 

박형준 부산시장은 “불꽃이 끝나는 순간이 아니라 시민과 관광객이 모두 안전하게 귀가하는 그때까지 긴장을 늦추지 않겠다”며, “질서 있는 관람과 쓰레기 되가져가기에 시민들이 동참해주길 바란다”고 말했다.

Busan Metropolitan City marks 20th anniversary with largest-ever fireworks show and enhanced safety measures for global visitors  

 

Busan City will host the 20th Busan Fireworks Festival on November 15 along Gwangalli Beach, Igidae, and Dongbaekseom.  

 

Celebrating its 20th year since first launching in 2005 to mark the APEC Summit, the festival aims to highlight Busan’s vision as a global tourism hub while ensuring safety and enjoyment for citizens and international visitors alike.  

 

Largest-ever fireworks show for 20th anniversary  

This year’s festival will feature its biggest spectacle yet, expanding its main fireworks barges from eight to thirteen and introducing upgraded lighting along the city’s landmark Gwangandaegyo Bridge. The bridge’s newly enhanced anchorage lighting will blend seamlessly with the fireworks performance to create a vivid nightscape.  

 

The show will be divided into three parts: a 20th anniversary celebration performance, an international invitation show, and the signature Busan Multi-Fireworks Show. New highlights include English letter fireworks, 200-shot multiplex fireworks, and a “Catchball Harmony” sequence using both barges and the bridge for a synchronized light exchange.  

 

Main program and music collaboration  

Pre-events will kick off in the afternoon with “Fireworks Street” activities, leading into the “Fireworks Prologue” and an opening ceremony featuring citizen participation.  

 

The first act, titled “20th Anniversary Fireworks Show,” will combine original music from global artist G-DRAGON’s album “Übermensch” with AI-generated sounds, offering a new multimedia experience.  

Japan-based company Hibikiya will stage the second act with a 15-minute performance of colorful fireworks, followed by Hanwha Corporation’s grand finale, themed “Twenty Autumns,” to close the night.  

 

Tourism-friendly setup for foreign visitors  

Approximately 14,000 paid seats will be available, including around 5,000 for foreign visitors — up from 4,400 last year. Multilingual support and expanded on-site information services are in place to accommodate growing international attendance.  

 

Extensive safety operations and traffic control  

More than 7,000 personnel — including city officials, police, firefighters, and volunteers — will be deployed across the venue to ensure crowd safety for over a million expected spectators.  

Authorities designated 42 key zones for close monitoring using CCTV, LED signage vehicles, and an aerial observation unit for real-time crowd management.  

 

Emergency corridors linking the beach to main roads will remain open, supported by 31 ambulances and seven medical stations. Traffic on Gwangandaegyo Bridge will be limited starting at 3:30 p.m. (top deck) and 6:30 p.m. (lower deck) on November 15.  

 

Civic participation and clean festival campaign  

Ahead of the festival, the city is inspecting local hotels and restaurants for pricing transparency and hygiene. Reports of overcharging or misconduct can be made to the city’s 1399 hotline for immediate action.  

 

Mayor Park Heong-joon said, “We will not relax until every citizen and visitor returns home safely. Safety is our top priority.”  He added, “If citizens cooperate by maintaining order and taking their trash with them, Busan will move one step closer to becoming a true global tourism city that people want to visit again.”
