[브레이크뉴스=배종태 기자] 부산시는 독일 아이다크루즈(AIDA Cruises)사의 ‘아이다디바(AIDAdiva)’호가 12일 오전 8시 부산항에 신규 입항했다고 밝혔다. 올해 부산을 찾은 첫 월드와이드 크루즈선이다.  

‘월드와이드 크루즈’는 전 세계 주요 항만을 연결해 여러 대륙과 국가를 순회하는 글로벌 크루즈 여행 상품으로, 이번에 부산항을 찾은 아이다디바호는 약 2천여 명의 승객을 태운 6만9천 톤급 선박이다. 이 선박은 지난해 11월 20일 독일 함부르크항을 출발해 캐나다, 미국, 포르투갈, 일본, 대만 등을 거치는 총 133일간의 항해 중이다.  

아이다디바호는 전항지인 미국 호놀룰루항을 1월 1일 출발해 12일 오전 부산항에 도착했으며, 같은 날 오후 6시 일본 도쿄로 향할 예정이다. 승객 대부분은 독일, 오스트리아, 스위스 등 유럽 국적으로, 부산 도심과 범어사, 해동용궁사, 감천문화마을, 자갈치시장 등 주요 관광지를 방문했다.  

시는 아이다디바호의 부산 첫 입항을 기념해 이날 오전 9시 북항 크루즈터미널에서 환영행사를 열었다. 행사는 기념패 전달과 케이팝 댄스와 국악, 전통무용 공연으로 진행됐다. 

부산시는 지난해 엠에쓰시(MSC) 벨리시마호를 중심으로 준모항 체계를 안착시키며 ‘국제크루즈 모항 도시’로의 기반을 다졌다. 올해도 모항 기반 조성, 기항지 관광 활성화, 관광객 편의 개선 등을 중심으로 크루즈 관광 활성화 정책을 이어갈 계획이다.  

특히 올해는 중국발 크루즈선 입항이 지난해 8항차에서 173항차로 크게 늘어, 부산항에는 총 420항차 약 90만 명의 관광객이 방문할 것으로 전망된다.  

박형준 부산시장은 “신규 월드와이드 크루즈선의 부산 입항을 진심으로 환영한다”며 “앞으로도 차별화된 기항지 관광 콘텐츠 발굴과 관광 인프라 개선을 통해 부산이 글로벌 관광 허브도시로 자리매김할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 말했다.  

[Here’s the English news version of the article] First Worldwide Cruise Ship of the Year, “AIDAdiva,” Makes Maiden Call at Busan Port

The City of Busan announced that the German cruise ship *AIDAdiva*, operated by AIDA Cruises, made a new port call at Busan Port at 8 a.m. on January 12. It is the first worldwide cruise ship to visit Busan this year.  

A “worldwide cruise” connects major ports across multiple continents, offering global cruise itineraries. The *AIDAdiva*, a 69,000-ton vessel carrying about 2,000 passengers, departed Hamburg, Germany, on November 20, 2025, for a 133-day voyage with stops in Canada, the United States, Portugal, Japan, and Taiwan.  

After leaving Honolulu, USA, on January 1, the *AIDAdiva* arrived at Busan Port on the morning of the 12th and is scheduled to depart for Tokyo, Japan, at 6 p.m. the same day. Most passengers are from European countries such as Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and they toured major tourist attractions in Busan, including Beomeosa Temple, Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, Gamcheon Culture Village, and Jagalchi Market.  

To commemorate the ship’s first arrival in Busan, the city held a welcoming ceremony at the North Port Cruise Terminal at 9 a.m. The event included a plaque presentation to the cruise line and featured cultural performances such as K-pop dance, traditional music, and Korean dance, offering foreign visitors a memorable welcome.  

Busan City has been strengthening its position as an international cruise homeport city, successfully establishing a “semi-homeport” system centered around the MSC *Bellissima* last year. Building on that success, the city plans to continue promoting cruise tourism this year by expanding homeport operations, enhancing shore excursion programs, and improving visitor convenience.  

In particular, the number of cruise ships arriving from China is expected to rise sharply this year—from 8 calls last year to 173—bringing an estimated total of 420 port calls and about 900,000 visitors to Busan Port.  

Mayor Park Heong-joon said, “We warmly welcome the *AIDAdiva* and its passengers on their first visit to Busan. The city will continue to enhance tourism infrastructure and develop distinctive shore excursion programs so visitors can experience and revisit Busan as a global cruise tourism hub.”
